I followed the events closely on AIT and Aljazeera and must confess it was everything you would expect of a renowned world leader, aside President Goodluck Jonathan and former President Olusegun Obasanjo who were present, almost all the presidents of the world were
there. It held at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg and even though there were viewing centres across the nation, people choose to come watch it live at Johannesburg as the stadium was crammed! Amongst those that spoke at the memorial, were the presidents of Namibia, Barack Obama, Bi Ki Moon of the United Nations, the Chinese President and one other speaker i am not too sure of. American Gospel artiste Kirk Franklin also performed to the extent he came down from the podium and was walking around the football field whilst someone was holding an umbrella over his head and his bodyguard closely following...

In addition, There was an obvious neglect of the UK as no representative from the British empire was allowed to speak at the Memorial. It also rained heavily throughout the event! Lest i forget South Africans love to make noise...lols.... See more photos below;
