Today Saturday March 15th was supposed to be the test date for the job application into the Nigerian immigration service. The test was supposed to be for a few qualified Nigerians (about 3,000 people i hear), with an entry level payment of N60,000 (less than $400). However, the massive unemployment in the country prevailed as to the dismay of many, a mammoth crowd of people turned out for the test! Test venues in Abuja, Lagos and Kaduna (the turn out in other venues such as those in Asaba are yet o be confirmed) were literarilly a sea of heads. So far, i hear in Abuja about seven people have died from stampede at the venue (a pregnant woman inclusive!). See more photos from the said venues below;
